About the role

This is a flexible, dependable part-time enhanced position designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As an Armed Security Officer - Retail in Houston, TX, you will have a fixed base schedule with the option to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings and experience.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Scale your hours up to 40 per week or back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe for unusual activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

$22.00 / hour

Schedule

• Daytime shift: Monday 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
