Armed Security Officer - Legal Buildings
Job Description
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail, mall, and/or government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control access, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious behavior, and/or unattended items.
Support loss prevention, public order, and/or facility protection efforts by remaining visible on post, following post orders, and assisting with crowd management, emergency notifications, and incident follow-up.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
