About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location in Brooklyn, NY. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and employees by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate transit personnel and public emergency responders as required.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, stations, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or suspicious conditions.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry where applicable, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns through established reporting channels.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with transit personnel, riders, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
