Area Supervisors/Group Leaders (Multiple positions available)

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Director to ensure members participate in age-appropriate activities safely.
• Ensure members feel welcomed and act within the Club’s rules and policies.
• Run age-appropriate activities daily as agreed upon with the Program Director.
• Interact with members to encourage participation and ensure safety.
• Advise the Program Director on member safety and rule adherence.
• Ensure the program area is safe for activities.
• Assist other staff and the Program Director with various tasks.
• Attend mandatory training and staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

• No prior work experience necessary.
• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass criminal background screening.
• Ability to manage behavior and develop curricula.
• Willingness to mentor and assist others.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with young people, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Flexibility with base hours to cover all open hours of operation.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• Active participation in recreational, athletic, and educational activities.
• Stand, walk, run, and engage in physical play for extended periods.
• Quick response to emergencies.
• Maintain energy and alertness during extended shifts.
• Work in various environments, including gymnasiums, playgrounds, classrooms, and outdoor fields.
• Lift and carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 25-50 pounds.
• Perform basic physical tasks like bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs.
• Use general office equipment, including phones, copiers, and computers.
