About the role

The Above Restaurant Leader (ARL) provides overall leadership and accountability for approximately 5 corporate-owned Long John Silver’s restaurants. The ARL works closely with the Director of Operations to develop regional strategies that enable each Restaurant General Manager (RGM) to exceed the annual operating plan. The role focuses on identifying key business issues affecting performance, influencing decisions, aligning resources, and driving outstanding reliability, product quality, and financial performance to achieve consistent same-store sales growth, $1.5MM AUVs, and 15% restaurant margins.

Responsibilities

  • Support, coach, and direct RGMs and crew members on a day-to-day basis to meet performance targets.
  • Establish and review store-specific goals for guest satisfaction, sales improvement, and customer experience.
  • Maintain company standards in food safety, product quality, and facility specifications.
  • Allocate limited budgets to prioritize high-impact needs.
  • Reinforce new products and operational initiatives.
  • Select, train, develop, and motivate RGMs and crew members.
  • Evaluate compliance with national brand promotions.
  • Visit restaurants frequently to ensure operational excellence.
  • Perform hands-on operational work as needed to train new RGMs and crew members.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience as a proven Area Supervisor in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR).
  • Strong relationship management skills; ability to influence and build trust with diverse personalities.
  • Strategic approach to driving reliability, superior operations, and financial performance.
  • Deep understanding of restaurant operations.
  • Proven ability to drive results through coaching and adherence to brand standards.

While performing duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Talk and hear to communicate with employees.
  • Taste and smell food products.
  • Handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to cooking fumes and moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
