About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area and managing the general operations and supervision of the Store. This position requires a deep understanding of safety, customer service, merchandising, loss prevention, front-end supervision, and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by practicing safe behaviors and immediately correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure the store is a welcoming and organized space by keeping areas clean and merchandised to standard.
  • Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed, including security checks, EAS device maintenance, and cash office security.
  • Manage customer service by treating all customers, associates, and leaders with respect and recognizing associates using Company recognition programs.
  • Support the store's brand by maintaining a professional appearance and ensuring all associates adhere to the Company Dress Code.
  • Manage loss prevention by complying with the Loss Prevention Awareness Program and conducting "Code 50" package inspections.
  • Supervise the front end by ensuring associates execute to Company standards, managing the line to expedite customer wait time, and training on cash register policies.
  • Oversee fitting rooms by maintaining their cleanliness and ensuring all garments are accounted for and compliant with Company policy.
  • Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager, including cash pulls, bank deposits, and payroll administration.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
  • Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
  • Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
