About the Role
Global K9 Protection Group LLC is looking for a dedicated and passionate Area Manager to serve as an integral part of the GK9PG Team in the SFO region. This role is the first line supervisor for GK9PG Site Leads and the second line supervisor for employees at the site.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first line supervisor for GK9PG Site Leads and second line supervisor for site employees.
- Provide site-specific input to the Regional Director of Cargo Operations, Commercial Operations, and Regional K9 Director as required.
- Act as the first level of client interface with GK9PG leadership at each site.
- Ensure compliance accountability for the site and enforce all GK9PG policies and procedures.
- Manage customer relationships at the site management level and coordinate new customer start-ups.
- Facilitate new employee orientation and on-the-job training (OJT) requirements.
- Assist administratively at the local level as needed.
- Oversee overall site growth, customer satisfaction, and acquisition.
- Review and manage site scheduling activities, including personnel schedules created by site leads.
- Develop training schedules to meet CETA and other training requirements.
- Facilitate badging at the site and act as the signatory authority for the company.
- Ensure all site training is completed and annotated in GlobalView or other applicable systems.
- Oversee GK9PG equipment inventory for the site (e.g., computers, phones, diopters, expendable supplies, SCI) and submit updates to GK9PG Logistics Section; initiate reorders or purchases as needed.
- Manage training compliance (240 min/week, 9 odors every 30 days, 4-5 drop aids per shift) and ensure annotation in GlobalView.
- Enforce monthly K9 maintenance and preventive medication, ensuring annotation in GlobalView.
- Manage explosive inventory monthly for both high and low explosives as applicable to the site and ensure annotation in GlobalView.
- Review a percentage of site videos per week/month and ensure annotation in GlobalView according to OPSC guidelines.
- Review GlobalView inputs of subordinates for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and schedule required recertification training dates.
- Counsel subordinates as required and assist site leads with disciplinary actions.
- Ensure site leads monitor employee punches, PTO, and overtime scheduling (Paycom duties).
- Complete end-of-month customer billing spreadsheets.
- Enforce handbook policies.
Requirements
- K9 training experience; 3+ years preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay
$125,000–$150,000 per year.
