Area Manager, MDW8

Key job responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate up to 50 direct report Amazon Associates
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment and step in as needed
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies
• Push/Pull product weighing up to 149 pounds and frequently squat, bend and reach
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
