Area Manager

About the role

Area managers at Jacent are key figures in the company, serving as mentors to merchandisers within their assigned areas. They provide troubleshooting tactics, training, and ongoing support, and collaborate closely with Territory Managers to enhance sales and volume.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with in-store management
• Execute merchandising resets
• Build retail displays
• Merchandise impulse items on clip strips & J-hooks
• Conduct surveys and audits
• Provide training and re-training to new and current merchandisers in assigned area

Requirements

• Self-starter and quick learner
• Comfortable in changing environments
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing and walking up to 8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, crouching, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand movements
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to schedule time efficiently
• Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with business partners
• Resides within 20 miles of Richmond, VA with the ability to travel throughout your territory
