Area Manager

Duties / Responsibilities

• Oversight of janitorial operations across assigned client locations
• Maintain quality service, contract compliance, and client satisfaction
• Conduct site visits and inspections
• Monitor cleanliness, safety, staffing, and operational performance
• Lead, coach, and support supervisors and frontline employees
• Partner with clients to address service needs, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and retention efforts for assigned teams
• Monitor labor, staffing, supplies, and operational performance
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements
• Identify opportunities for process improvement
• Deliver consistent service excellence

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in janitorial, custodial, facilities services, or related operations leadership
• Experience managing supervisors, leads, or frontline employees preferred
• Ability to manage multiple locations and prioritize competing demands
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Ability to travel locally between assigned client locations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems
• Preferred qualifications include experience working in commercial janitorial services, facilities management, or integrated facilities management, experience managing hourly teams in a multi-site environment, experience with quality inspections, labor management, and operational improvement initiatives, and bilingual communication skills
