Area Manager 2026 – Indiana (Recent and Upcoming Graduates)

This is a full-time, entry-level position located within one of Amazon’s fulfillment centers, sort centers, delivery stations, or other operations buildings. This role is not corporate, remote, or office-based.

About the role

Amazon is seeking customer-focused individuals to lead a team of hourly employees in a fast-paced warehouse environment. As an Area Manager, you will engage, lead, and develop your team while ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance standards are met. Extensive training and development are provided to help you become an exceptional people leader.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate 50–100 direct-report Amazon Associates
• Work independently in an autonomous environment
• Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Work nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs (most sites follow a fixed 4-day work week with 3 days off)
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, and operate powered industrial truck (PIT) equipment where applicable
• Step in as needed in a variable-noise-level environment
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (degree must be fully completed before your first day)
• Must have work authorization without employer intervention
• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with physical demands as described

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field

Pay

Base salary range: $65,200 – $75,000 USD annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
