About the role

This in-person position oversees multiple communities, including a "home" community and several others, ensuring NOI results and Operations OKRs are met. The role reports to the VP of Operations and requires travel between locations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple Sentral communities—serve as the General Manager of a "home" community and have oversight of an additional 2 or 3 communities (number subject to change).
  • Direct and lead the portfolio's on-site team members by implementing policies, procedures, and practices to meet and exceed budgeted financial goals and operational performance objectives.
  • Provide strategy and leadership to multiple community management teams in an assigned region.
  • Create an executive management plan for the market and drive revenue and expense goals for the community.
  • Contribute to the establishment and refinement of work quality, cultural initiatives, and best practices to drive results as a team.
  • Manage client relationships to enable seamless conflict resolution, account maintenance, and overall development of client relationships.
  • Analyze property financial performance as it relates to other portfolio assets.
  • Review the annual budget as submitted by the General Manager, and provide feedback and commentary before submission to ownership.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory programs.
  • Review revenue, expenses, staffing levels, and guest reviews, and implement critical action plans as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or hotel administration.
  • 7+ years of related work experience in operations, preferably in the hospitality and multi-family industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to guide and motivate teams.
  • Strong resolution skills and ability to work well cross-functionally, identifying solutions and thinking outside the box.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, planning, sales development, and other related business management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple communities.
  • Ability to maintain a motivating, positive work environment that holds team members accountable for results.
  • Excellent communication skills—oral and written.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Demands

  • Work in spaces that include indoor and outdoor areas, with and without covering.
  • Move throughout the property for extended periods of time.
  • Transport boxes and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Communicate with other persons in the building.
  • Observe details in surrounding areas and on a screen.
