About the role
Increase commercial sales in a designated territory by calling on architects, designers, and national accounts to obtain proprietary specifications for Dal-Tile. Develop and implement an approved marketing plan that meets both personal and business goals.
Base pay for this role ranges from $66,000 to $100,000 at commencement of employment, determined on an individualized basis. Compensation also includes commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other short- and long-term incentive packages.
Responsibilities
- Travel throughout assigned regions to call on regular and prospective customers, including architects, designers, developers, general contractors, and national accounts.
- Identify and establish relationships with the top 20 architectural firms and the top 20 design firms.
- Pursue new and maintain existing national accounts; follow up and report information.
- Promote new products during sales calls.
- Schedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of all Dal-Tile products, allied products, and installation methods.
- Track meeting results consistently and effectively.
- Maintain frequent communication with SSC staff to advise of future orders and obtain samples.
- Schedule timely large project tracking meetings.
- Replenish and update products with local A&D firms.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience calling on the A&D community or 3+ years of B2B sales experience.
- High school diploma.
Skills
- Self-starter with strong communication skills.
- Exercises independent judgment and initiative.
- Basic computer skills.
