Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with customers, general contractors, and essential influencers.
  • Recognize service opportunities to build relationships and grow accounts.
  • Be initiative-taking, self-directed, and willing to accept responsibility for results.
  • Supply accurate sales forecast.
  • Be an excellent collaborator and can easily engage others to support the broader strategy.
  • Be comfortable with and can excel in an environment that is meticulous and complex.

Requirements

  • A proven record of architectural or building construction sales achievement.
  • A working knowledge of the construction process and application of architectural products.

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of experience in an outside sales role calling on a varied client base.
  • 2 or more years experience selling construction products, flooring, office furniture or design services.
  • Experience with sales strategy and deciding how to best position one's offering to support the needs of the customer and the strategy.
  • Experience with how to support the design process through architects and designers and the commercial real estate audience.
  • A strong business acumen.
  • A professional presence while participating in networking events.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Natural problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of the interior construction process, including technical knowledge of products, buildings and building codes, and familiarity with construction contract law and project risk analysis.
