Primary Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with customers, general contractors, and essential influencers.
- Recognize service opportunities to build relationships and grow accounts.
- Be initiative-taking, self-directed, and willing to accept responsibility for results.
- Supply accurate sales forecast.
- Be an excellent collaborator and can easily engage others to support the broader strategy.
- Be comfortable with and can excel in an environment that is meticulous and complex.
Requirements
- A proven record of architectural or building construction sales achievement.
- A working knowledge of the construction process and application of architectural products.
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in an outside sales role calling on a varied client base.
- 2 or more years experience selling construction products, flooring, office furniture or design services.
- Experience with sales strategy and deciding how to best position one's offering to support the needs of the customer and the strategy.
- Experience with how to support the design process through architects and designers and the commercial real estate audience.
- A strong business acumen.
- A professional presence while participating in networking events.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Natural problem-solving skills.
- A strong understanding of the interior construction process, including technical knowledge of products, buildings and building codes, and familiarity with construction contract law and project risk analysis.
