Arabic, German, Italian, Korean, and Persian - Part-Time Lecturer Pool
About the role
The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool to teach lower-division (100 and 200 level) undergraduate courses in Arabic, German, Italian, Korean, and Persian. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Teach lower-division (100 and 200 level) undergraduate courses in Arabic, German, Italian, Korean, and Persian.
- Work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- Legal right to work in the United States of America.
- Reside in the State of California at the time of hiring.
Requirements
- Hold at least a master’s degree in the language of instruction or in a related field.
- Possess native or native-like fluency in the language of instruction.
- Demonstrate ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- Legal right to work in the United States of America.
- Reside in the State of California at the time of hiring.

Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching.

Pay
$5,507 - $6,677 per month
Schedule
Temporary appointments, often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Appointments are made as Lecturers, under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association.
