About the role

The Ethnic Studies Department invites applications for a pool of part-time lecturers from candidates qualified to teach undergraduate Ethnic Studies courses. For a list of the courses that the Ethnic Studies program offers, please visit: https://www.csustan.edu/ethnic-studies/courses-offered.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate Ethnic Studies courses as assigned.

Requirements

  • M.A. in Ethnic Studies or related field with compelling evidence of strong undergraduate teaching experience.
  • Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies or related field preferred.

Qualifications

  • A cover letter that:
    • addresses the position description and qualifications outlined above;
    • describes the range and depth of your relevant professional training/experience;
    • identifies which class(es) you are qualified to teach;
    • indicates your instructional modality (e.g., in-person, synchronous, asynchronous, and/or hybrid teaching) of preference and familiarity with using Canvas and Zoom.
  • A CV (including names and contact information for three references); and
  • Unofficial copies of graduate transcripts.
