A leading firm in Hoover, Alabama, is searching for a dedicated AR/AP Specialist with a solid background in construction accounting or a related industry to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Manage client billing, with some exposure to government-related accounting tasks.
• Accurately process all accounts payable, including vendor invoice calculations and maintaining organized files.
• Efficiently handle accounts receivable by generating client invoices.
• Support the team with various other financial projects as needed.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in an Architectural, Engineering, or General Contractor Firm (preferred).
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant accounting software; familiarity with Sage software is a plus.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to working effectively with diverse colleagues in a dynamic and occasionally demanding environment.
• The ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, sound judgment, and discretion.
