AR/AP Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced AR/AP Specialist to join the finance team at smart company, a leading Loxone Partner specializing in intelligent building technology. This full-time position is based in New Port Richey, Florida, United States.

Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and reconcile incoming and outgoing invoices in a timely manner.
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and perform bank deposits and process payments to vendors.
• Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations, including bank statements and credit card statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate historical records and financial documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation and liaising with internal departments and external partners.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as an Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field is desirable but not essential.

Pay

Salary range: $55,000 – $75,000 USD per annum, dependent on experience.
