Apprentice (1st Year - 4th Year) Line Worker - Carlsbad, NM

Summary

Position will be responsible for construction, maintenance and operations. Supports maintenance and emergency repairs of distribution and transmission lines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) or ability to acquire within 120 days of start date
• Successfully completed EEI CAST Assessment
• Total commitment to safety, quality work and customer service
• Mentally competent, able to communicate and comprehend instructions
• Able to work in confined areas
• Pass federal DOT physical examination
• Reside within 20 miles of the Carlsbad Service Center

Requirements

• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 90 lbs.
• Climb wood poles up to 100' tall
• Perform aerial work in a safety belt in a safe and efficient manner
• Use shovels, sledgehammers and 90 lb. jack hammers

Pay

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $30.93 to $38.17 per hour
