Responsibilities
- Drawing the system layouts in both 3D and 2D CAD
- Product selection based on requirements
- Presenting designs to customers
- Preparing technical content for sales proposals
- Design and creation of the mechatronic material handling layouts
- Performing performance calculations for the system
- Creating mechanical costing quotations
- Providing equipment functionality and capability reports
- Acting as a technical liaison
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
- Prior applications engineering experience in materials handling environment preferred
- Proficient in Excel, MSWord, PowerPoint
- Preferred skills: AutoCAD (2D), Sketchup or other 3D Design Software
- Willingness to travel domestically (less than 10%) and internationally (one-time training, and one-time visit every other year after)
