About the role
The Application Specialist, Outfitting role supports Cadmatic Outfitting application deployments, customer success, training, and technical consultation in the US market. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you work remotely from your home office in Virginia, Mississippi, or Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the primary contact for customers from deployment through daily use.
- Providing technical support and training so customers can adopt and use Cadmatic Outfitting effectively in their projects.
- Advising customers on practical use of Cadmatic Outfitting in piping, machinery layout, and outfitting design workflows.
- Solving technical questions and troubleshooting complex issues in daily use.
- Running training sessions both remotely and at customer sites.
- Participating in the sales process as a technical software expert and delivering software demonstrations.
- Turning customer feedback into clear and actionable input for product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A marine, mechanical, or shipbuilding-related background is preferred.
- 3+ years of practical experience in shipbuilding, outfitting design, engineering, and/or 3D CAD.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. marine industry, with additional value placed on naval environment experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in customer service or client-facing roles. Strong ability to build trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Basic programming knowledge (for instance C++) is considered a plus.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Pay
- Annual base salary of $85,000–$100,000 plus a variable bonus, with on-target earnings (OTE) of $102,000–$120,000.
