Application Analyst/Trainer III - Epic Ambulatory

About the role

The Application Analyst III has advanced knowledge of each appropriate application and serves as a bridge between vendors, end users, and team members. The Analyst III conducts regular day-to-day communication with internal teams, application vendors, clinical and business representatives, as well as subject matter experts to tailor the different system(s) to fit the organization's needs. He/She assists in performing in-depth and complex analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of different applications as needed. The Analyst III is a support contact and works with other members of the team in coordinating efforts and status updates with end users and operational stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, operate, or maintain information systems in an integrated healthcare delivery system, including hospitals and/or clinic settings.
• Perform in-depth and complex analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues.
• Coordinate efforts and status updates with end users and operational stakeholders.
• Support and troubleshoot healthcare systems databases and interfaces.
• Execute project management on medium to large projects.
• Design and execute software solutions that solve business or clinical problems.
• Travel out of state for education purposes and within the SRHS service area as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, clinically related field, or equivalent experience may be considered.
• Current certifications in Epic applications (required: Epic Ambulatory and one other Epic certification such as MyChart, CareEverywhere, Beacon, EpicCare Link, etc.). Must maintain Epic certification(s) including completion of required training.
• Minimum of three to four (3-4) years’ experience in healthcare IT, including experience with healthcare systems databases and interfaces in hospitals, clinic settings, or with a healthcare system vendor.
• Project management execution experience on medium to large projects.
• Intermediate knowledge of computer software applications (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Valid driver’s license, as job may require traveling throughout the SRHS service area.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST.
• On-call after hours (Monday-Friday), weekends, and holidays.
• Some on-site work required.
• Rotating on-call schedule with other members of the Epic team.

Location

Remote opportunities available in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. On-site work may be required at Singing River Pascagoula Hospital.

Physical Demands

• Moderately sedentary work involving sitting, with regular movement about the office and facility.
• Negligible physical exertion; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects.
• Repetitive motions, including wrist, hand, and finger movements (e.g., typing, using office equipment).
• Close visual acuity required for tasks such as comparing data on a computer monitor to printed material.
• Ability to perceive sound at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
• Must be able to remain active for extended periods without undue fatigue.
