Job Description

The Application Analyst III at Singing River Health System is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining information systems in an integrated healthcare delivery system. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular day-to-day communication with internal teams, application vendors, clinical and business representatives, and subject matter experts to tailor systems to organizational needs.
  • Assisting in performing in-depth and complex analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with different applications.
  • Supporting end users and operational stakeholders by working with other team members to coordinate efforts and provide status updates.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, clinically related field, or relevant experience may be considered.
  • Current certifications in Epic applications, including completion of required training to maintain certification.
  • A minimum of three to four (3-4) years’ experience in developing, implementing, operating, or maintaining information systems in an integrated healthcare delivery system, including hospitals and clinics.
  • Previous installation experience with healthcare systems databases and interfaces in hospitals and clinics, or with a healthcare system vendor.
  • Project management execution experience on medium to large projects.

Qualifications

The Application Analyst III must have:

  • Advanced knowledge of each appropriate application.
  • Knowledge of applicable operations for the position.
  • Keen mental faculties and assessment and decision-making abilities.
  • Communication and speaking skills to receive and give information.
  • Emotional stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels.
  • The ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • A thorough understanding of workflows and the ability to design and execute software solutions.
  • Intermediate to complex analytical, clinical, financial, and administrative abilities.

Skills

The Application Analyst III should possess:

  • Intermediate knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Physical demands include moderate sedentary work, occasional lifting, and repetitive motions.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The Application Analyst III works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Central Standard Time (CST).
