About the role

The Application Analyst II supports the Research Management System (RMS) for various units across the University. Key responsibilities include application use case analysis, configuration and administration, consultation on application capabilities, impact analysis, incident management, vendor management, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with University stakeholders to understand key use-cases and requirements.
  • Evaluate potential risks to the service and applications, develop mitigation plans and recommendations.
  • Advise end users on application best practices and functionality.
  • Respond to and resolve moderately complex incidents/requests submitted by customers.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to services, solutions, and applications.
  • Engage with vendors to understand application product release roadmaps and functionality.
  • Support contract renewal and licensing activities as needed.
  • Validate, test, and implement solutions, new features and functionality.
  • Develop moderately complex test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Requirements

Relevant experience (2 years) is required. Skills such as business solutions design, commercial acumen, communication, contract agreements, data analysis, digital transformation, end user services, federal grants management, group presentations, information technology (IT), ITIL framework, and IT problem solving are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Driver's license is not required.
