About the role

Bronson LakeView Family Care - Paw Paw (Suite A) in Paw Paw, MI is seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their busy established Family Medicine Practice.

Responsibilities

• See full spectrum family practice patients
• Candidate will work alongside two physicians and two APPs
• No OB or inpatient medicine opportunity
• Hospital-employed, Full-time outpatient only position
• Team Approach with Ambulatory Care Manager, clinical pharmacy support, social worker, as well as nurse triage
• Works with the APP to create a schedule to offer appointments as early as 7:30 am or as late as 7 pm at least one day a week
• Patient of the practice have access to an onsite pharmacy, laboratory and imaging
• Nurse Triage service is available after hours and on the weekends and patient call volume after hours is very low
• Provides call coverage one evening during the week and share call with 17 additional family care providers for weekend and holiday coverage

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• Current unrestricted or pending Licensure in the state of Michigan
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient-centered care

Skills

Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program
Licensure as Physician Assistant and state DEA license to prescribe medications
Current prescriptive authority and collaborative agreement with oversight physician(s) should also be in place
