About the role

The Apartment Leasing Agent reports to the General Manager. This position is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the property to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability and good physical condition.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in leasing efforts to ensure full lease-up and maintenance of high occupancy levels
  • Mailing of renewal offers, logging of responses and managing property availability
  • Audit and enter rental applications for approval and presentation to the General Manager
  • Manage property licenses and the renewal process by liaising with legal counsel and the City
  • Handle the check-out process to ensure compliance with final account statement requirements
  • Investigate and respond to resident concerns and complaints in a timely manner
  • Prepare weekly reports related to the property's performance as required
  • Develop and implement advertising/marketing programs to position the property in the marketplace
  • Develop and implement resident retention programs
  • Communicate courteously with residents, applicants, employees and vendors
  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, typing, answering phones, and using various office equipment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
  • Ability to operate various office equipment including fax machine, copier, telephone, personal computer, typewriter, calculator, adding machine, key machine, key card system and vacuum
  • Strong computer skills and math ability, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Entrata (preferred)
  • Accurate in numerical analysis and transfer of related data
  • Accurate in preparation of documents to ensure grammatical and legal correctness
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all federal, state and local laws
  • Ability to follow through with all necessary paperwork and ensure all deadlines are met
