Anesthesiologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

This position involves providing medical direction for pediatric anesthesia at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The anesthesiologist supervises certified registered nurse anesthetists across all pediatric surgical cases, from neonates to older children, ensuring quality and safety in anesthesia care within a collaborative clinical environment supporting diverse pediatric surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee anesthesia delivery without direct patient contact (0% hands-on).
• Supervise a team of 9 MDs and 13 CRNAs.
• Maintain 100% medical direction and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Work structured shifts on-site, including Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Wednesday, with 8-hour coverage.

Requirements

• Board-certified anesthesiologist with prescriptive authority.
• Experience in pediatric anesthesia.
• Ability to lead and supervise anesthesia staff.
• Strong focus on patient safety and quality care.

Schedule

Structured on-site shifts, including Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Wednesday, with 8-hour coverage. No call obligations.
