Anesthesia Tech

Location: Rochester, NY 14621 • Full-time (40 hours per week)

About the role

As an Anesthesia Tech, your excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control helps you manage anesthesia equipment and supplies while assisting with daily functions of the Anesthesia Department.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Management: Maintain all anesthesia equipment; manage quality control by recognizing malfunctioning equipment and taking necessary action; perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Procedure Assistance: Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for use; calibrate and check equipment accurately before each use; assist with procedures as assigned; stock anesthesia carts with extremely high-risk medications (may handle meds, sharps, and syringes); maintain a clean, safe, and adequately supplied workroom.
• Maintains Ideal Working Operations: Contribute to maintenance of supply inventory; ensure adequate levels of available supplies; complete monthly pharmacy inspections.

Qualifications

• None required.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous anesthesia experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

Pay

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
