Responsibilities

  • Aid in analyzing bid requirements against the proposal outline to ensure compliance and responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Monitor and track sales performance data, conduct market pricing reviews, and prepare reports and insights for senior management.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to meet deadlines and provide accurate responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring regular communication and support for their logistics and transportation needs.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients by understanding their requirements, providing solutions, and coordinating with internal teams for smooth service delivery.
  • Build collaborative relationships with operations staff to enhance team synergy, creativity, and effectiveness.
  • Provide market intelligence reports and insights to inform sales strategies and improve service offerings.
  • Negotiate shipping rates with carriers and monitor container moves on ocean and land (rail/truck) freight.
  • Complete shipping documentation, such as bill of lading, house airway bills, house bill of lading, and certificates of origin.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented approach.
  • Experience with MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter capable of operating under minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One to two years of direct experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain management, or customer service.

Schedule

The position is located in the Duluth, GA Office and requires communication primarily via phone and email.
