Responsibilities
- Aid in analyzing bid requirements against the proposal outline to ensure compliance and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Monitor and track sales performance data, conduct market pricing reviews, and prepare reports and insights for senior management.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to meet deadlines and provide accurate responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring regular communication and support for their logistics and transportation needs.
- Assist in onboarding new clients by understanding their requirements, providing solutions, and coordinating with internal teams for smooth service delivery.
- Build collaborative relationships with operations staff to enhance team synergy, creativity, and effectiveness.
- Provide market intelligence reports and insights to inform sales strategies and improve service offerings.
- Negotiate shipping rates with carriers and monitor container moves on ocean and land (rail/truck) freight.
- Complete shipping documentation, such as bill of lading, house airway bills, house bill of lading, and certificates of origin.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Excel.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Detail-oriented approach.
- Experience with MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint.
- Self-starter capable of operating under minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- One to two years of direct experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain management, or customer service.
