About the Role
This position supports the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by providing budget and expenditure services to the Vital Records and Statistics Division (VRSD).
Responsibilities
- Independently develops and maintains program budget and expenditure tools, trackers, and processes for VRSD
- Provides technical assistance and specialized knowledge on fiscal issues
- Performs complex program budget/expenditure assignments
- Responsible for budget/expenditure projects, drills, and other requests
- Works closely with operations and administrative staff, information technology staff, and program staff to coordinate and monitor complex procedures used to develop and maintain fiscal compliance for the Division
Qualifications
- Works under the direction of the Supervisor I, Supervisor of the Budget and Expenditure Unit (BEU)
Pay
- $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month (New to State candidates hired at minimum salary of classification or alternate range when applicable)
- Subject to Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025: 3% monthly base pay reduction in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027 (salary ranges shown do not reflect this reduction)
