About the role
This position supports the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by independently performing administrative functions and operational support. This is a 12 month Limited Term position with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent. The incumbent works under the direction of the Supervisor I Business Operations Unit A within Administration and Operations Section.
Responsibilities
- Acts as the backup Personnel Liaison performing functions such as initiating Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs), maintaining Program organizational charts and position history records, and responding to requests for information/clarification from Human Resources Division (HRD) staff
- Acts as the office backup Attendance Coordinator performing functions such as collecting and submitting benefit forms to the HRD and reporting attendance to HRD regularly
- Coordinates facility management plans and implements strategic next steps
- Acts as the backup Training Coordinator working with staff to support the Office of Health Equity (OHE) workforce development needs

- Analyst II: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 A
- Shall Consider Analyst I: $3,861.00 - $4,839.00 A | $4,181.00 - $5,233.00 B | $5,014.00 - $6,276.00 C
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits through June 2027. The salary ranges shown do not reflect the salary reduction.
