About the role
The EDD Workforce Services Branch (WSB) is seeking candidates to apply for an Analyst in the Branch Personnel Liaison Unit within the Deputy Director's Office.
This position is headquartered at the New Labor Agency Building (NLAB), a newly remodeled high-rise building in downtown Sacramento. The building offers various amenities including break areas, wellness/lactation rooms, coffee points, a fitness center, a career center for EDD employees, a micro market, building-wide WiFi, an outdoor terrace, bike storage, nearby public transit options, and more.
Responsibilities
- Utilize "people" skills to help fellow coworkers thrive.
- Solve or prevent personnel-related problems and implement creative solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service to staff, managers, and executives.
- Leverage curiosity to dig into WSB's personnel data for a more efficient workforce and communicate recommendations.
- Work with EDD's Human Resources to ensure adherence to personnel policy and procedures and share knowledge statewide.
- Support the Branch Leadership Team of 204 Branch Leaders in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Provide personnel support to 1100+ people statewide in over 60 offices on Hiring, Classification, and Pay/Benefits transactions, personnel database maintenance, position oversight, and creating a variety of personnel reports.
Requirements

- Must have a strong understanding of personnel policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in personnel administration or a related field.
- Experience with personnel databases and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Pay
$6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per month.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
