About the role

The Analyst II performs a variety of analytical tasks related to Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), also known as Early Start in California such as coordination of public meetings governed by the Bagley Keene Act; community and community engagement; delivery of personnel development activities throughout California; the coordination and monitoring of statewide initiatives and outcomes for identifying, locating, and evaluating all infants and toddlers with disabilities ages birth through age two and contract development and management.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with program management, subject-matter experts, the California Department of Education (CDE), family resource centers (FRCs), local educational agencies (LEAs), regional centers (RCs), and other community to facilitate communication, consultation, and the development of specific resources to support families in the Early Start program.
  • Support the completion of projects to ensure that federal compliance reporting requirements are met, provide technical assistance to a variety of our community.

Requirements

Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three percent in exchange for five hours per month of the Personal Leave. This position is eligible for geographic retention pay differential of $250.00 per month.

Skills

Knowledge of : The Lanterman Act, The Bagley Keene Act, Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), also known as Early Start in California; Part B of IDEA, also known as Special Education; the California Early Intervention Services Act; and the developmental services system.

Experience working with people in a teamwork environment.

Knowledge of human service systems and agencies.

Knowledge of analytical and research methods.
