Responsibilities
- Conducts complex analytical functions in the office
- Celebrates and supports diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Conducts discrimination investigations
- Provides technical assistance to Workforce Innovation Opportunities Act (WIOA) Local Area Equal Opportunity (EO) Officers
- Conducts compliance monitoring for compliance to WIOA Section 188
- Performs a variety of coordinating duties on behalf of the Department
Requirements
- Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the EEO Specialist performs work of higher complexity in a variety of administrative, consultative, and analytical assignments in EEO
- May be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (four days in office, one day telework)
Qualifications
The EDD seeks an EEO Specialist to perform work of higher complexity in a variety of administrative, consultative, and analytical assignments in EEO. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience conducting complex analytical functions in the office
- Technical skills in providing technical assistance to WIOA Local Area Equal Opportunity (EO) Officers
- Knowledge of compliance monitoring for WIOA Section 188
- Ability to perform a variety of coordinating duties on behalf of the Department
Skills

Pay
$6,031.00 - $7,547.00 A New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Hybrid work schedule (four days in office, one day telework)
Additional Information
Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
