ANALYST II
Job Description and Duties
The incumbent independently performs the more responsible, varied, and complex professional-level asset management duties for District 12. They manage District 12 property control process and all official asset inventory records. They directly manage and maintain the asset inventory for all District 12 personally assigned computer equipment (PCE). They provide direction and oversight to the Property Liaisons who administer and coordinate asset management functions for their respective subdivisions. The incumbent handles varied, complex technical and analytical assignments, such as data organization, data visualization, reporting, and other monthly data analysis for the Business Services Branch. They ensure the correct and prompt processing of various documents related to Business Services.
Working Conditions
The position is located at 1750 E 4th St, Santa Ana, CA 92705, Orange County. The incumbent will work indoors in a climate-controlled environment with LED lighting, though the building temperature may fluctuate due to heating and air conditioning issues. The incumbent may sit and/or stand for extended periods and may be required to travel using a car or commercial transportation. The work environment may be noisy and may involve exposure to dirt, noise, and uneven surfaces. Some travel may be required.
Working Hours
The incumbent works five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position may be eligible for telework, with the amount of telework at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
Special Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
