About the role
The State of California is seeking a Contract Analyst I to join the Contracts Services Group. This position is located in Sacramento, CA and is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of four days a week in-office presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare a diverse workload of contractual agreements ranging from routine to moderately technical and complex.
- Ensure contracts and procurements comply with all applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and department guidelines.
- Perform less complex duties related to contracts, including business process improvement, documentation, policy and procedure development, training development, and change management.
Requirements
This position is open to those who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available).
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification. These qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. Familiarity with contract management software and experience with government regulations are preferred.

Pay
The starting salary for this position is $3,861.00 - $4,839.00 A, with potential for advancement to higher levels based on performance and experience.
Schedule
The position is a full-time role with a standard workweek of Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role is headquartered at the New Labor Agency Building (NLAB) in Downtown Sacramento.
