Analyst – Client Intelligence
About the role
The Analyst – Client Intelligence will categorize incoming work using structured research techniques and create meaningful analytics from data at scale. This role shapes the firm’s understanding of business and client development, fueling high-level decision-making. The position reports to the Associate Director of Business Operations & Analytics.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s practices, clients, and market.
- Master the client and matter taxonomy used within Sullivan & Cromwell.
- Perform critical review of data, combining external intelligence with internal data points.
- Build expertise in the InTapp system to enhance the matter intake process.
- Leverage firm data and IT resources to produce and improve reporting solutions.
- Serve as a communication bridge, helping interpret data and anticipating future needs.
- Participate in fostering a team-oriented environment committed to client service and professional excellence.
- Comply with firm information security policies and protect firm assets from unauthorized access or disclosure.

- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
- Experience with Microsoft Access, enterprise CRM, or other technology resources is preferred.

Qualifications
An undergraduate degree is required; a JD or other advanced degree is a plus. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a professional services environment is required.
Pay
The base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $135,000. Compensation is determined based on skill set, experience, performance, certifications, degrees, location, and firm needs. The total package may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses, and other benefits.
