Job Summary
Bolton Investment is a Registered Investment Advisory firm focusing on investment consulting for institutional retirement plans. We provide advice on both participant and trustee-directed plans in various sectors.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute client deliverables to high standards of quality and accuracy
- Maintain documentation of sound fiduciary and governance processes
- Perform detailed document reviews, evaluating for fiduciary best practices, and identifying potential risks to client
- Serve as a technical resource for clients, team members, and business partners on plan governance, compliance, and fiduciary best practices
- Foster positive relationships and ensure client satisfaction and retention
- Follow team processes and procedures, while evaluating and recommending improvements to increase client satisfaction and team effectiveness, promote efficiency, and maintain high quality standards
- Attend client meetings along with Consultants; take meeting minutes and notes
- Conduct plan reviews, fee benchmarking studies and provider RFPs
- Participate in internal research projects and special client assignments as needed
- Serve as advocate and liaison for client with custodians, recordkeepers and third party administrators
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline
- 0 - 3 years of investment related experience (defined contributions plans preferred)
- Adaptability to change while striving to improve processes and efficiencies
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work extended hours as needed
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Hightly dependable with strong verbal and written communications skills
- Able to work independently and proactively and deadline driven
- Genuine desire to work hard
Priorities
- Knowledge of IRS and DOL rules governing retirement plans
- Understanding of financial markets and financial services companies
- Knowledge of different custodians and platforms
- Experience with retirement plans
- Knowledge of investment consulting principles, and fiduciary and governance processes
