Department Summary

The University of Oregon Alumni Association (UOAA) is an inter-dependent 501c3 within the University of Oregon’s University Advancement division. The UOAA fosters lifelong relationships, deepens engagement, and advocates on behalf of the university and Duck alumni around the world.

Position Summary

The Alumni Communications Project Assistant (project assistant) supports communications projects within the UOAA under the direction of the Director of Alumni Communications. The project assistant is responsible for assisting with the successful delivery of assigned projects with the UOAA and stakeholders and supports the use of standardized project management methodologies, processes, and tools.

Minimum Requirements

  • Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and
  • Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

  • Ability to interact, communicate, and work effectively with individuals, recognizing and respecting the many and varied identities of each person.
  • Commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • High competency in MS Office or similar software.
  • Ability to use cloud-based software tools for effective delivery of information.
  • Ability to quickly and independently learn software tools
  • Proven aptitude for using data to measure and analyze effectiveness of systems and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
  • A high level of organization and outstanding customer service.
  • Experience maintaining cooperative, respectful working relationships with staff, volunteers, and students from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives in a service-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in project management software (Wrike preferred)
