About the role
The Alternative Delivery Manager position focuses on Large Diameter Water Conveyance projects. This role involves providing direction and management throughout the entire lifecycle of these projects, from business development to active contract and design management.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and management for all phases of alternative/collaborative delivery projects.
- Engage in business development, teaming, pursuits, and proposals.
- Manage and lead internal Michels teams and external partner and client teams.
- Make well-informed decisions quickly, balancing multiple tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.
- Build and sustain relationships with clients and team members.
- Lead project pursuits and ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of contractor experience, construction management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with water conveyance and municipality engagement and regulation.
- PE & DBIA Certification (Desired).
- Experience and understanding of alternative delivery projects, including design build and EPC experience.
- Experience in key project leadership roles.
- Understanding of scheduling, estimating, and project controls software.
- A valid driver license and acceptable driving record.
Qualifications
- Proactive in building and sustaining relationships.
- Open to relocating to Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Washington, Virginia, or Texas, or any of our Michels offices.
