About the Role
As an AIT Technician – Vehicle Integration, you will be responsible for the hands-on manufacturing and assembly of sub-assemblies essential for spacecraft vehicle integration. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will play a vital role in a fast-growing team dedicated to designing, building, launching, and operating state-of-the-art satellites for advanced mission constellations.
Responsibilities
- Follow detailed procedures to assemble complex electronic and mechanical modules.
- Operate hand tools such as screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and light power tools.
- Quickly adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate statuses, issues, and suggestions effectively to the support engineering team.
- Update documentation and hardware statuses through online services.
- Perform basic avionics and electrical troubleshooting.
- Assist in spacecraft integration-related activities.
- Maintain a strong work ethic, work with limited supervision, and adhere to the attendance policy.
- Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner.
- Keep work area(s) neat, clean, safe, and orderly.
- Stand for most of the working day.
- Perform miscellaneous lab duties, including kitting, inventory, and organization tasks.
- Perform other tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of professional experience working hands-on as a technician within electromechanical assembly or spacecraft/spacecraft hardware manufacturing.
- Experience with wire harness routing and/or space flight integration.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed work instructions for assembly and testing of flight products, including blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Proficiency with Windows 10, Microsoft Office products, and internet browser applications.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of soldering tools and practices (J-STD-001 certification preferred but not required).
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Familiarity with cleanroom cleanliness standards and ESD precautions.
- Excellent visual acuity for detailed inspections and quality control tasks.
- Ability to accurately distinguish a wide range of colors.
- U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations.
Schedule
This role is on our Weekend shift (Friday - Sunday) from 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
Pay
Salary Range: $28 USD - $37 USD (full-time positions only).

Physical Demands
