About the Role
Perform technical duties related to the manufacturing of driveshafts.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and utilize proper PPE as instructed.
- Follow verbal and written instructions with the ability to interpret work orders and dimensional information.
- Utilize production systems via computers, tablets, scanners, etc.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of 1 or multiple assigned work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Perform general maintenance on machinery and tools at certified stations.
- Maintain a productivity level above 75% of the shift’s individual goal, unless otherwise directed.
- Maintain a quality yield % of 95% or greater, unless otherwise directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Good organizational, communication, and math skills.
- Intermediate mechanical skills with machinery and tools.
- Basic computer skills including internet and scanning systems.
- Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack, and wrap up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Working Conditions
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, grasp, handle, and feel items.
- Noise level is usually moderate.
- Production floor temperature may reach up to 90+ degrees during the summer months.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least 2 years of prior driveshaft manufacturing experience, or 90 days with PTI.
