Airport Security Officer: Part Time Unarmed Alarm Console

About the role

As an Unarmed Alarm Console Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to travelers, staff, and visitors while contributing to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, airport personnel, and other stakeholders while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of airport terminals, parking areas, access points, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and client representatives.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License (1+ years).
• 1+ years of security experience.
• 21+ years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening (including DOT Pass and ID office requirements).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience (required).
• Alarm panel experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).

Pay

$28.75 per hour.

Schedule

• Wednesday: 05:30 AM – 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 05:30 AM – 02:00 PM
