About the role

This role involves assisting passengers needing wheelchair or luggage assistance, providing general information, and directions to passengers at Boston Logan International Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods
  • Assist in transferring disabled or paralyzed passengers between seats as needed
  • Keep inventory and report discrepancies
  • Work independently and respond to requests for assistance
  • Work in a team, coordinate with supervisors, coworkers, and airline personnel
  • Respond to inquiries from airlines, staff, and the general public
  • Project a positive and friendly image during interactions

Requirements

  • Physical fitness: Lift and carry up to 70 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods
  • Proficient in keeping inventory and reporting discrepancies
  • Ability to work independently and respond to requests for assistance
  • Ability to work in a team, coordinate with supervisors, coworkers, and airline personnel
  • Reliable transportation to and from Boston Logan International Airport
  • Passport, state or federal ID, social security card, birth certificate, etc., for TSA background check
  • Two forms of identification and immigration documents required for those born outside the United States
  • Flexible schedule preferred, airport operates 24/7/365, flights may be delayed
  • Night/closing shifts frequently extend past midnight
  • Customer service experience preferred, prior airport experience ideal but not required
  • Second language proficiency is a plus
