Aircraft Worker

SAIC is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Worker for an SCA contingent contract located in Lemoore, CA. This effort requires personnel to reclaim F/A-18 aircraft components in support of the SARDIP (Stricken Aircraft Reclamation and Disposal Program), and movement of these items to applicable Naval Supply activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in disassembly, demilitarization, transportation, and disposal of remaining aircraft structures.
• Assist in demilitarization and Safe to Display requirements of aircraft designated for public static display.
• Assist in the packaging of reclaimed aircraft components.
• Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek at customer location.
• Must be willing to travel to other DoD air stations to perform work (35 percent).

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must have the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• General knowledge and experience with common mechanic’s hand tools.
• Ability to lift 50 LBS.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must have current National Agency Check or submit and pass FBI Fingerprint/Background checks to gain required base access identification cards.

• Experience preferred in working on F/A-18 platform.
