Aircraft Worker

Job Summary

Makes repairs to aircraft following orders of higher grade workers. Performs routine maintenance tasks such as removing, cleaning, reinstalling, or replacing defective parts.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and sets cable tension and seat movement settings and adjustments.
• Services engines and aircraft components at line station.
• Obtains standard parts from parts manuals and compares with samples.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Three (3) years’ actual and recent related experience in the field.
• A&P license is considered equivalent to three (3) years’ experience.
• Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
• Travel may be required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Skills

• Knowledge of aircraft systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret parts manuals.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
