Aircraft Electrical Technician B - H145 FAL (Multiple shifts)

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an Electrical Technician to join the H145 Final Assembly Line (FAL) team in Columbus, MS. This role involves installing electrical harnesses and components on aircraft as part of a team focused on quality, productivity, and efficiency.

About the role

You will work in Columbus, MS, where Airbus Helicopters manufactures the UH-72A Lakota for the U.S. Army and the H-125 for civil and commercial customers. The team ensures the highest standards of care, safety, and quality in every aircraft assembled and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Apply basic techniques and procedures of electrical installation.
• Read and follow detailed plans, diagrams, and standards for installing wire harnesses and electrical components.
• Route wires in aircraft, including tying, lacing, and applying anti-chaff protection.
• Install solder shields, splices, daisy chains, and electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and diodes.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of electrical install experience, or an A&P license, or completion of an aviation school program.
• Avionics and Cabling Class (e.g., as offered by EMCC) is highly preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Familiarity with common aviation tooling.
• US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder, or person covered under an existing ITAR license).

Physical Requirements

• Vision: Must be able to see the full spectrum of color, read computer screens, documents, reports, and engineering drawings.
• Hearing: Must be able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone, and hear safety warnings or alarms on the production floor.
• Speaking: Must be able to participate in conversations, meetings, and communications.
• Equipment Operation: Must be able to operate office equipment (e.g., computers, phones, copiers) and some production tools (e.g., hydraulic lifts).
• Carrying: Must be able to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
• Lifting: Must be able to lift documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
• Pushing/Pulling: Must be able to push and pull small office furniture, equipment, and tools.
• Sitting: Must be able to sit for extended periods during meetings or computer work.
• Squatting/Kneeling: Must be able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelving.
• Standing: Must be able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
• Travel: Must be able to travel independently and at short notice.
• Walking: Must be able to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) includes safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by the site or customer.
