About the role
The Department of Health, Air Quality Laboratory has ONE (1) urgent vacancy located at the Hawaii State Laboratory in Pearl City, Oahu.
Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, maintain, and repair air quality control equipment in the laboratory and at sampling sites throughout the State.
- Perform routine standard chemical and statistical tests to verify the accuracy of recording instruments and the findings of others.
- Maintain quality assurance records.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Legal Authorization To Work: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- General Experience: One (1) year of technical experience in calibrating, maintaining and repairing electronic air monitoring equipment such as spectrophotometer, carbon monoxide analyzer, nitric oxide-nitrogen dioxide analyzer or electronic analysis equipment of equivalent complexity and sophistication.
