AIR CONDITIONING MECHANIC I - OAHU

Duties Summary

Independently performs skilled preventive maintenance work in operating, maintaining, repairing, and overhauling a variety of air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems and equipment and performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

• Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
• Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and overhaul of air conditioning and/or refrigeration equipment as a helper or apprentice under a journey level air conditioning and/or refrigeration mechanic.
• Certification Required: Certification as a Universal Technician is required in accordance with Section 608 of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Air Act, 1990, as amended.
• Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
• Physical Requirements: Some positions require the ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation.
