Air & Ocean Export Specialist

Job Overview

Scan Global Logistics is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Air & Ocean Export Specialist to join their team. This is a direct hire, full time, on-site position based in Sharon Hill, PA.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end air export and ocean export operations including pickup, inland transportation, booking, and delivery coordination
• Cook up and process Air Waybills, Bills of Lading, AES filings, export declarations, invoices, and certificates of origin
• Ensure compliance with TSA, IATA, IMDG, FMC, TAPA, ISO, Customs, and export/import regulations
• Track and trace shipments and provide proactive status updates to customers and internal teams
• Handle shipment troubleshooting and escalate issues when necessary
• Respond to rate requests, quotations, and customer inquiries in a timely manner
• Cook up shipment routing, consolidation, and cost-effective transport solutions
• Maintain strong customer service and professional communication with all stakeholders
• Accurately and timely distribute shipment documentation
• Assist with SOP review, process improvements, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• 2+ years Air Export experience (required)
• 2+ years Ocean Export / Freight Forwarding experience (required)
• IATA DG Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of international logistics and export compliance
• Experience with bonded cargo preferred
• Strong understanding of export/import regulations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must pass TSA eligibility screening
